5 Reasons to Vape Your Weed Rather Than Smoke It

For as long as we can remember the preferred choice of partaking in marijuana is by smoking.  Usually this is done by rolling a joint or smoking out of a pipe.

Today there are many ways to get a quality high, with one of the most innovative being vaping.  Vaping has become a popular way of inhaling cannabis.  The vaping process is different from other ways of ingesting cannabis in that there are basically mini ovens in each vaporizer that turns the active ingredients in cannabis into vapor.

We think that any who smokes weed on a regular basis should seriously consider picking up a top of the line portable vaporizer.  Be sure to pick up a vape that can vaporize both waxes and dry herb.

Here are the five reasons to vape your weed rather than smoke it:

1. It is Better for Your Health

Let’s start off by making something clear: while smoking tobacco has been clearly shown to increase rates of lung cancer (among many other awful diseases), smoking cannabis has never been shown to increase risks of lung cancer.

That being said, when you burn weed by smoking it you produce tar and other chemicals that end up in your lungs.  Whether or not science has proven a correlation between smoking cannabis and lung cancer we’d still prefer to play it safe.

Vaping provides a safer alternative.  The vapor that comes from the low heat of a vaporizer does not create this tar making it much safer to inhale.

2. Less Odors

I for one enjoy the smells and aromas that come from smoking cannabis.  For some it may not be as pleasant, but as I became a smoker I enjoyed the aromas as an acquired taste.

While I like the smells I also know that with wide ranging legal status of cannabis, releasing olfactory evidence could get you in a good bit of legal trouble.  Bottom line is that if you plan to use cannabis in public or anywhere else where cops may be around, then it is much better to vape.

Vaping weed is basically odorless making it much more difficult to recognize.  Given the similar looks of e-cigarettes and vaporizers, you can remain discrete while getting your dose of herb.

3. More Efficient

You need less herb to get an effective dose when vaping when compared to smoking or eating.  This means that your herb stash will last longer.  While vaporizers are not cheap, they will quickly pay for themselves with because of this greater efficiency.

On the flip side we suggest spending some significant coin on your vape as again it will help even more with efficiency, as well as deliver a more even “pull”.

4. More Versatile

When it comes to the other methods of ingesting cannabis each piece of equipment can do one thing.  A bong can only act as a bong and rolling papers can only roll.

But this is different with many vaporizers.  In fact, both dry herb and extract oils can be used in most vaporizers today.  This versatility is a big step in the right direction for all stoner-kind.

5. Bells and Whistles

While cheaper vaporizers are pretty plain, the higher levels vapes have some pretty technologically advanced features.  Some of this includes being able to control the temperature of your vape digitally as well as apps that come with your vaporizer.

Not only that but some of the better quality vaporizers also have smooth styling and look cool.

Summary

The truth is that cannabis in the 21st century needed an upgrade and vaping has taken the crown.  We still like to go old school and roll a joint from time to time, but vaping is now our go to method of getting a buzz.  As more states legalize and vaping manufacturers get better, we are sure that the pros of going with a vape will only become more numerous in the future.

Are Aluminum Grinders Safe?

photo of a flame in a black background
Don’t be tricked by this myth.

There is a video online about the best grinders that states that aluminum grinders are unsafe. That video is false and, in fact, a cleverly disguised advertisement. The video will not be imbedded to from here because doing so would promote it on the YouTube and Google search results. If you have seen the video, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about. If you haven’t, don’t worry, there’s nothing to be concerned about and you can skip this article. Continue reading
